There’s a host of half-term fun at the National Botanic Garden of Wales, including fire-eaters, an inflatable assault course, a pirate ship and some meerkats.

Wild Wednesday is organised by Action for Children and takes place on Wednesday October 30th from 10am to 3pm.

Supported by Carmarthenshire County Council, all activities are free on this day and so is admission to the under 16s – entry for adults on the day is just £5. Other Wild Wednesday activities include craft workshops, pottery, pumpkin carving, cookery and circus skills.

Meanwhile, there will be family activities all half-term week (Monday Oct 28- Friday Nov 1) in the Garden with the main themes focused on hedgehog hibernation, fungi, leaf colours and lots more autumnal delights.

And, on Saturday October 26, there’s a Family Fun Day (from 10am-4pm) featuring games and dance activities, Story Corner, plus arts and crafts fun. Supported by Menter Cwm Gwendraeth, admission on the Saturday is free to under 16s and £5 for adults.

The Garden is open from 10am until 4.30pm. For more information on Garden news and events, go to www.gardenofwales.org.uk email info@gardenofwales.org.uk or call 01558 667149.
