STAFF and users of Llanelli’s Coleshill Centre are busy preparing for a special date in their social calendar – their very first fashion show.

It will be held on Wednesday, November 27, when models – a group of adults with disabilities and special needs – will strut their stuff on the catwalk and show off the latest clothing trends.

The event, sponsored by M&S and Tesco, has been put together in association with Llanelli’s well-known model agent Barbara Onslow, and will feature a guest appearance by the town’s famous panto star Denny Twp.

The latest Coleshill project – ‘Model of Achievement’, a model agency for people with disabilities and special needs – will also be launched at the event.

Cllr Jane Tremlett, Executive Board Member for Health and Social Care, said: “This is all part of raising awareness of different disabilities and showing people that disability does not have to be a barrier – anything is possible with the right support and the will to succeed.

“Our models have been preparing for the show for weeks, and can’t wait to get on the catwalk for the first time.”

Tickets for the show are £3.50 and proceeds will go towards the Model Agency and other projects.

They are available from the Coleshill reception desk – call 01554 742625 for further information.
