RDP Sir Gâr’s Dewis Menter project is looking for a new team of business mentors.

Dewis Menter, run by Carmarthenshire County Council’s Business Services section, aims to encourage enterprise and business development for individuals and businesses throughout rural Carmarthenshire with an extensive package of support. The service is free and includes one-to-one mentoring, topical workshops and enterprise groups for budding entrepreneurs.

As part of their support package they are currently recruiting a more business mentors who are able to pass on their experience, knowledge and skills to small, newly established businesses to help them develop plans, overcome issues and trade successfully.

Tessa Peregrine of Dewis Menter said “The last round of mentoring sessions began in September and was extremely successful. Over 60 businesses were helped and both the mentors and beneficiaries found it to be a useful learning experience.”

Suitable candidates will be expected to provide mentoring sessions between January and July 2014 and will receive financial remuneration for all sessions.

If you would be interested in becoming a mentor, please contact a member of the Dewis Menter team on 01267 242435 or email: dewismenter@carmarthenshire.gov.uk
