A Petition for the Resignations of Carmarthenshire County Council Chief Executive Mark James and Council Leader Kevin Madge has been set up. This follows the Wales Audit Offices’ judgement of unlawful payments, with the chair of the Public Accounts committee Darren Millar AM describing the activities as ‘deeply disturbing’ (Click here to read article.) and follows Plaid Cymru AM Rhodri Glun Thomas and MP Jonathon Edwards calling on senior Carms CC managers to resign (click here to read article).

The petition asks for your name, address and is says:

“I hereby call for the immediate resignation of Mark James, the Chief Executive of Carmarthenshire County Council and Kevin Madge, Leader of Carmarthenshire County Council.”

“Following the Welsh Audit Offices’ judgment that unlawful payments were awarded to the chief executive by the County Council led by Kevin Madge I have no confidence in their leadership or authority. As my County Councillor I ask that you support this request.”

Alan Evans, a concerned resident messaged us to say:

“You may have seen or heard the news today about the unlawful payments made to chief executive Mark James. “

“The county has gone from bad to worse and it is the ordinary people who are suffering most. I make this plea. Please fill in the form and submit. It will be forwarded to Carmarthenshire County Council and your County Councillor.”
