Carmarthenshire Trading Standards have received a complaint from a Llanelli resident regarding a bogus telephone call from a person falsely representing SKY television and inviting the complainant to renew his viewing card.
At this time personal banking details were needed, and this information was supplied to the caller and consequently large amount of money was withdrawn from the bank account.
Please be aware of strangers cold calling by phone or at the doorstep. Do not release any personal information. Any similar incidents, please contact Action Fraud Telephone 03001232040 or the local police team telephone 101.
