It’s FREE entry for all at the National Botanic Garden of Wales on Saturday March 1st in honour of our patron saint.
St David’s Day is a great time to reacquaint yourself with the Garden after the long, wet winter and enjoy a taste of Welsh culture.
There will be the best of local food and drink to try and buy, and brilliant Welsh crafts on display (and on sale) as well as music and dancing, including Côr Caerfyrddin and Fiddlebox.
With a mouth-watering Welsh menu in the restaurant, featuring produce from the Garden, fun family activities and free guided tours, there really will be something for everyone.
It is also an excellent opportunity to see the stunning display of daffodils as well as a fantastic array of spring flowers from around the world in the Great Glasshouse.
Gates open at 10am and the Garden is open until 4.30pm (last entry 3.30pm).

- Potato & watercress soup
- Gower cockle, leek and bacon pie
- Braised local venison in a redcurrant & port jus
- Celtic Pride beef casserole
- Traditional Welsh Lamb Cawl – National Botanic Garden of Wales rare-breed organic lamb
- Carmarthenshire chicken with leeks in a creamy white wine sauce
- Pantysgawn Goats’ Cheese, leek and shallot tart
