Schoolchildren across Carmarthenshire are taking place in a night of song and music in aid of the Eisteddfod.
They will support one of Wales’s favourite choirs – Only West Boys Aloud – for the event taking place at the Moriah Chapel on Friday, April 4.
The group will perform a selection of popular and traditional songs alongside choirs from across the area.
More than 30 pupils from schools including Ysgol Dewi Sant, Lakefield school, Ysgol y Fro, and Ysgol Strade will all be taking part.
All the proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Gronfa Eisteddfod Sir Gar 2014 and support the National Eisteddfod at Festival Fields between August 1 and 9.
Ysgol Dewi Sant head teacher, and Eisteddfod chairman Gethin Thomas said: “It will be a good night and we hope people will turn out to support the event and the local fundraising committee.”
He said: “We hope this event will serve to raise the profile of the Eisteddfod across Wales and here in Carmarthenshire and give notification that the tickets are going on sale from April 23.”
The concert takes place at Moriah Chapel, Llanelli from 7pm, tickets are £12.50.
