Animal magic, music, dance and puppet theatre all share top billing at the National Botanic Garden of Wales this Easter.
The meerkats are back and the Quack Pack is returning as is the Black Mountains Birds of Prey display team to wow holiday visitors at the best garden in Wales.
Small World Theatre, Cardigan, will present their wonderful puppet show Tales from the Taiga and dancers from Tipyn o Bopeth will be strutting their traditional Welsh stuff.
In charge of events at the Garden is David Hardy. He said: “It’s a pretty mouth-watering line-up over the bank holiday weekend and throughout the Easter holiday. We also have our ‘Garden Explorers’ offer where young visitors can grab a back-pack, select from a range of activities and then head off into the Garden and enjoy themselves.”
He added: “We will be very busy as the season cranks up with a wedding, wood-turning demonstrations a fabulous new show in the Gallery entitled New Sylva – celebrating a major new book about trees and forestry for the 21st century and our very first Woodland Walk Weekend.”
The Woodland Walk Weekend is on April 26-27 and features two, expert-led walks in the Pont Felin Gat woods looking at wildlife and the ABC of wild flowers: anemones, bluebells and celandines. And if you go down to the woods that weekend you can be sure of lots of fun family activities, too.
