Sea Rescue at Cefn Sidan

Dyfed Powys Police can confirm that yesterday afternoon (Sunday 30th March), just before 5pm, they assisted the RNLI and Coastguard at an incident where reports suggested two women were cut off by water at Cefn Sidan.

Both women were rescued from the water and have been taken to hospital. One casualty was airlifted by the RAF to Morriston hospital in a critical condition and the other was taken by ambulance to West Wales General Hospital.

A spokesperson said: “The tide was on its way into shore.”

“The coastguard and the RNLI carried out the sea rescue, Dyfed-Powys Police were on hand for assistance.”
