CRIME PREVENTION ADVICE

Most of us can remember the days when we visited the shops or called on a neighbour for a few minutes and left the front or back door open, knowing that everything would be safe.

Society has changed, it is no longer wise to leave the door or window open when you are not at home. Also when you are in bed at night or having a sleep in the day, please keep your doors locked.

Forty five percent of all house burglaries in Carmarthenshire are committed by a thief who enters the home through an unlocked door or window. Lock your door and stay safer

  • Strangers offering goods for sale at the door
  • Strangers offering to buy unwanted gold or scrap
  • Strangers offering gardening, driveways, roofing repairs should be declined
  • Beware of COLD CALLERS

BEWARE OF ROGUE TRADERS

The Dyfed Powys police “Bobby Van” scheme will visit by appointment all persons over 60 years and supply, fit extra security if needed, free of charge.

Online Watch Link(OWL) is a police messaging system where you can receive free information by email from your local policing team on matters which are important to you.
