Our next walk will be a Pwll Woods walk. Meet at 10am on Saturday (31st May). Jo risk assessed this walk and this is her description of it.
‘The walk will start at the Pavilion Café. We will cross the main road and head up a rather steep path, toward the top of the ‘mountain’. The hedgerows along the way are filled with gorgeous wild flowers, there are signs of many wild mammals and totally breath-taking views from the top.’
‘I’ve, quite honestly, never seen such amazing panoramic views from anywhere else in our area. Well worth the loss of breath!!!’
‘We’ll descend through open farmland until reaching the main road. We’ll cross the road and walk through the wooded areas near Ashpits ponds and head back to the Pavilion Café. It is a long and quite strenuous walk, incorporating a few steep slopes and stiles so not suitable for those with buggies, very young children, dogs or those with fitness/mobility problems.’
‘It’s a really great walk’.’
