THE Government is making it easier for pubs in Carmarthenshire and the rest of Wales to relax their licensing hours to show England World Cup matches.
The move follows the decision to relax licensing hours in England during its games.
Regulations have been passed to allow licensed premises in Wales to obtain Temporary Event Notices free during the World Cup.
Home Secretary Theresa May said: “There have been a number of requests that licensed premises in Wales should also be able to benefit during this period. The Government wishes to help businesses in Wales which wish to show England matches during the World Cup by removing some of the costs that the normal temporary event notice regime would impose.
The Government has created a bespoke TEN form which can be used to give up to 10 temporary event notices to authorise the sale and supply of alcohol for consumption on the premises and the provision of late night refreshment during England matches.
For a World Cup TEN form contact Carmarthenshire licensing on 01267 234567.
