In response to concerns from local residents about dust, noise and heavy lorries, Nia Griffith MP would like to invite you to a meeting about planning application S/29950 to construct a Recycling Facility at Glyngwernen Quarry.
Like so many of us here in Llanelli and in the Gwendraeth I was brought up with a strong sense of community and social justice. I want to help change society for the better.
For 20 years I taught in local schools, I was an active member of my trade union; a founder member of a local Women’s Aid organisation; a driving force behind a local youth group; and an environmental activist.
For me being an MP is about standing up for our communities; it’s about making useful changes that will benefit the many, not the few.
I roll up my sleeves and deal with serious issues whether it’s galvanising support on local issues or working with all the different groups who make our community a great place to live.
I am always pleased to hear from you, so please get in touch.
