A community litter pick at Llanelli’s People’s Park saw 22 bags of rubbish collected in one day.
Organised with support of Carmarthenshire County Council community engagement officers, part of the housing department, the litter pick was carried out by volunteers from Llanelli Town Council, Tidy Towns, Llanelli Scouts and Asda.
All recyclable litter – around 17 bags in total – has been sent for sorting.
Maria Evans, community engagement officer, said: “We had a very busy day, but it was all worth it. Everyone put in a great amount of effort.”
