Latest Dafen Pond Watch

Over the last couple of weeks the pond area has really been looking lovely. The swans are enjoying the sun and lounging around on the water.

The ducks however are spending a lot of the time in the shade and just going on the water now and again to have a stretch.
There are many beautiful butterfly and damselflies all along side the river. Buds are opening on the wildflowers giving a lovely splash of colour.

The moorhens have been very lively and have made me laugh with their bickering and antics. I am concerned though as a few weeks back I had seen a very young moorhen but have not seen it since!!!

We have such a beautiful place on our doorstep which many people do visit but I am sure many more would benefit from going to see it. Please don’t forget to use the bins provided.

Do you visit a pond often? We would like you to become a pond watcher with us!
