The National Eisteddfod is being held in Carmarthenshire Llanelli from 1 – August 9 2014. Wales’ leading festival wishes to recruit a team of voluntary customer care specialists to develop the service provided to extend a warm welcome to visitors and provide assistance and guidance for them to make the most of their Eisteddfod visit.
We anticipate the need for 15 to 20 Here to Help ambassadors each day.
Free training session will be provided on the Maes at Llanelli on 22 and 30 July, with sessions at 1400 and 1800 which will take up to 3 hours.
THE ROLE
- Act as a point of contact for new/unfamiliar visitors and those who require some assistance or advice in planning their day on the Maes
- You will work from the Visitor Centre and specific locations around the Maes
DUTIES
- Advise and assist visitors with all kinds of general enquiries
- Work on the Visitor Centre information desk
- Issue instructions as necessary
- Run information hubs around the Maes
- Hours: Morning Session 0900 til 1300; Afternoon Session 1300 til 1700
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- 16 years of age and over
- Friendly and good with people
- Enthusiastic and confident
- Fluent in Welsh and English
- Interested in the arts
