A BURRY PORT man has been fined £200 for putting out his rubbish out on the wrong days and in a neighbouring street on two occasions.{jcomments on}
Christopher Stringer, from Colby Road, Burry Port was also found guilty of putting the incorrect waste in recycling bags under Section 46 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
The 43-year-old, who failed to attend Carmarthen Magistrates Court, was also ordered to pay £200 towards prosecution costs and a victim surcharge of £20.
Executive board member for Environmental and Public Protection, Cllr Jim Jones said: “The council is committed to clearing up Carmarthenshire.
“Bags of rubbish that are left littering the streets for days on end will not be tolerated.
“We have a duty to take action. If anyone wants more advice then our recycling advisors are able to advise householders on the council’s recycling scheme.”
