It’s no longer too cold or wet to join our walks!

Our next walk is ‘The Machynys Coastal Walk’ on this Saturday 26th July. We will meet at Llidl Car Park at 10am. On this walk, we’ll go for a bimble through an area of Llanelli that used to be heavily industrialised but now it’s predominantly used for leisure.

We’ll cross the road and head for the little path that will take us between the Wetlands and the golf course, you can get a nice look at the Wetlands from a different viewpoint from here.

There are lots of newly fledged birds in the area plus butterflies, damselflies and dragonflies, galore!! We’ll wander along the coast to Bwlch y Gwynt and Machynys , returning to our starting point via Delta Lakes (heatstroke permitting!!! ).

The walk will be just over a couple of miles long and could take up to a couple of hours.

The weather will be warm so slap on your sunscreen and hats also, a bottle of water is essential. If you’re bringing dogs on the walk, please ensure that you have plenty of water for them too. We will tailor the length of the walk to suit the weather and our walkers’ abilities. Look forward to seeing you!!
Please let us know if you will be joining us via our fb page here or email me trixie@waleswildlifewatch.org.uk
