Scarlets will open their 2014-15 LV= Cup campaign away to fellow region Cardiff Blues at BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park with the new season now only weeks away.
A breakthrough competition for the younger talent within the region’s squad, the LV= Cup gives the next generation of Scarlets an opportunity to excel and shine on the regional stage.
The Scarlets have seen talented players like Wales under 20s captain Steffan Hughes, wing wizard Jordan Williams and upcoming outside half Josh Lewis all make their full regional debuts in the LV= Cup.
After an opening round against fellow region Cardiff Blues the Scarlets will welcome Northampton Saints to the Parc in round two of the competition due to take place in November.
Round 3 and 4 see the Scarlets welcome London Irish to the Parc before heading North to take on Sale Sharks in the last pool stage respectively.
Scarlets last met London Irish, former club of one of Scarlets’ summer signings Tongan powerhouse Chris Hala’ufia, at the Parc in the LV= Cup back in January 2012 securing a 27-19 victory over the Exiles.
