A mouth-watering display of more than 400 varieties is the centrepiece of Apple and Pear Weekend at the National Botanic Garden of Wales on October 18-19.
This event is a veritable harvest festival and there’s good news for all the sweet-tooths out there, too: there will be one variety of apple that comes coated in toffee!
Llanddarog WI will be on hand again to provide top-quality apple cuisine and Coles Brewery will be offering tasty tipples and the chance to press your own juice – bring your own apples.
There are plenty of fun and games besides with T-shirt designing, badge-making, apple-bobbing, a quiz a trail and more besides.
The National Botanic Garden is open from 10am to 4.30pm. For more information about this and other events at the Garden, visit www.gardenofwales.org.uk email info@gardenofwales.org.uk or call 01558 667149.
