We have 2 fab walks this month. Please let us know if you will be joining them.

Walk 1: We have a great Fungi walk for you this Saturday (18th) at Pembrey Country Park. Please let us know if you will be joining us.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to go for a fab walk and to take advantage of the combined knowledge of The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales and Llanelli Naturalists.

We will meet at the restaurant at 2pm for a wonderful, informative walk.

It’s something to look forward to because it’s a great time of year for finding fungi and it’s such a great opportunity to boost your knowledge, courtesy of Dr. Phillip Jones.

Walk 2: Godre’r Graig River Walk (25th). Meet 10am outside The Junction Cafe, Glan Yr Afon, SA9 2RH Ystalyfera.

This is a lovely walk of approx one and a half mile along the side of the river Tawe. The area is a fab place to see the salmon making their way up the river at this time of year. Last year we were introduced to this area by Darren and were lucky enough to witness salmon leaping up the weir. We are not guaranteed to see the salmon as it will depend on the conditions, water levels etc but all being well we can sit and watch a fantastic display after the walk. Good sturdy footwear is highly recommended if you wish to go to the waters edge to watch for the salmon.

Thanks
