Gifted storyteller and illustrator Jackie Morris is bringing her magical art to the National Botanic Garden of Wales this winter.
Jackie’s big love of the natural world will dominate her winter show in the Garden’s Gallery – entitled Song of the Golden Hare – with paintings and drawings of all her favourite creatures, great and small, from her popular and best-selling books.
Her exhibition, which runs from November 4 until January 13, will feature the luxuriant and loving illustrations of animals which are her trademark.
Says Jackie: “I’m very excited about being back at the Garden. It is the first big show I’ve done in Wales for a long time.
“This exhibition will include work from Hare, Icebear, Cat Walk, East of the Sun, West of the Moon, as well as paintings and drawings.”
Jackie, who lives “in a small house by the sea surrounded by tangles of wild roses” in Pembrokeshire, has most recently published Cat Walk, a beautiful gallery of her own pet cats, past and present; and Something About A Bear – which is widely described as being “fabulously full of bears”.
Her books are on sale in the Garden gift shop along with postcards and prints.
Song of the Golden Hare is in the Garden Gallery from November 4 until January 13
