Plaid Cymru representatives have congratulated Coedcae School on hosting a very successful Question Time debate week.

Vaughan Williams, Plaid Llanelli Westminster candidate said:

“I would like to thank the pupils and the staff at Coedcae for their warm welcome and generosity. I would also like to thank Brett John who arranged the event and chaired proceedings professionally.

The pupils were very engaged and asked probing questions on a range of topics including education, health and the Welsh language. It was a privilege to attend and everyone involved in the event at Coedcae should be very proud of themselves, the day was a huge success.

I believe events like this are essential in showing young people how the world of politics works and engaging with the youth is an essential part of our democracy.”

Simon Thomas, Plaid Assembly Member for Mid and West Wales added:

“Party of Wales representatives emphasised that education should not depend how much money you have in your pocket but on your aptitude and potential. As an MP, I voted against the introduction of tuition fees for students brought in by a Labour Government with the backing of the Tories.

We also highlighted the need for improvements in our health service on ambulance response times, waiting times and Prince Philip Hospital.”
