Cwmcerrig in running for Welsh Champion of Champions prize

The award-winning Cwmcerrig Farmshop and Grill is in the running for the Welsh Champion of Champions awards in the Rural Oscars.

Cwmcerrig, near Gorslas, leads the nominations in the Local Food category in the Countryside Alliance Awards.

The awards are known as the Rural Oscars and celebrate their 10th birthday this year.

In celebration, the Welsh business champions of the last 10 years have been invited to re-compete, X Factor style, for Champion of Champions plaques across four categories (Local Food; Village Shop/ PO; Traditional and Enterprise categories).

Votes will opened on the Countryside Alliance website at 12pm on Monday 3rd November and will close on at 6pm on Sunday 30th November (postal votes to reach the CA by 3rd December.)

Visitors to Cwmcerrig can pick up special postcards to cast their vote by post.
