A victory over Glasgow Warriors on Friday evening not only kept the Scarlets’ top four campaign alive but also concluded a record-breaking year for the West Wales region.

The 19-9 victory over the Scots was Scarlets’ 11th consecutive home result, ten victories and a draw, in the PRO12 in 2014.

The last defeat at Parc y Scarlets, in the Guinness PRO12, came on Boxing Day 2013 against regional rivals the Ospreys and the return of the West Wales derby, on Saturday 3rd January, will be Scarlets’ next home outing in the PRO12.

Speaking after the Guinness PRO12 victory on Friday Head Coach Wayne Pivac said; “We’re trying to make [Parc y Scarlets] a fortress. Everyone talks like that about their home games and that’s certainly what we’re trying to do.

“We haven’t lost here this season and the team hasn’t lost here since December.

“We’re building up a good record at home.”

Scarlets’ last unbeaten home run, in a calendar year, in the Celtic League was back in 2006 at Stradey Park with 9 victories and a draw.
