Camping at Pembrey Country Park has proved so popular that electric hook ups are being installed.

120 of the 350 pitches will serve electric to those campers needing to power up their caravans or camping equipment.

New toilets and shower blocks are also planned for the start of the 2015 season as well as seasonal lets for those looking to park up their caravans all year round.

Already thousands of people across the country have enjoyed the camping and its attractions at the 550 acre woodlands park which include a toboggan run, 1300 metre dry ski slope, outdoor Laser Tag, Soccer Zorb, Segways as well as eight miles of golden sands at Cefn Sidan. The park is also home to a conservation pond with bird hides, designated picnic and BBQ areas, adventure playground and eight wildlife trails with set routes and beach walks.

The council’s countryside and coast manager Rory Dickinson said: “We’re so privileged to have this wonderful park surrounded in 550 acres of idyllic woodlands right here on our doorstep. Expanding and enhancing our camping facilities allows more people to visit and experience a unique blend of coast and countryside that provides the perfect all year round holiday.”
