With the new Star Wars film fast approaching we thought we’d put together a series of articles to give you a beginner’s guide to Star wars. Starting with the Jedi.

The Jedi are a Monastic, Spiritual, Academic organisation that date back 10,000 years before the destruction of the Death Star in the Star Wars Movie. They practice in mythical powers of the force, served as Paramilitary for the great Galactic Republic at large to prevent the conflict and political instability to the galaxy.

As guardians to the galaxy they meditate negotiations among planets and rival frictions, and if necessary, use their martial arts skills, agility and wisdom to neutralize dangerous individuals or threats to others.

They are proactive in the virtues of Abstinence, Altruism, Mercy and Gamin. They are trained in Deistic Reasoning, Passive Meditation and Applied Academics and they are also conditioned to reject negative or dangerous emotions.

The Jedi code is:

There is no emotion, there is peace.

There is no passion, there is only serenity.

There is no chaos, there is only harmony.

There is no death, there is the force.

They respect all life in any form, they serve others rather than ruling over them for the good of the galaxy and the Jedi seek to improve themselves through knowledge and training.
