With many projects happening this year, it looks like we may be expecting an X-Men TV Series sometime in the near future.

The Hollywood Reporter tells that sources say networks are having preliminary discussions on adapting possibly the most famous Marvel comic series ever, into a live-action TV series with Manny Coto and Evan Katz at head of the production table.

In other news, it looks as if the new live-action series may be written by Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne but Fox has refused to give any comment on Katz’s Coto’s and McKay’s involvement in the running so far.

As Fox studios counterpart with 20th Century Fox currently own the rights to the X-Men film franchise and several feature productions based on X-Men characters at this point in time, discussions are being made to bring the franchise to the TV screen are at present in action. But as of this point, negotiations are far from complete.

Even though Marvel still own the rights to the comic book series, sources indicate that they still have to sign off on the deal, with ABC Studios showing awesome shows like Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter coming soon plus five other shows, it looks like a deal could be a while off yet. As of now there is no hint of a cast of plot in the works.
