Great news gamers! It looks like they’re finally making the game Assassins Creed into a movie.
I know… it’s about time right!? The film adaptation will be directed by Justin Kurzel, who filmed The Turning in 2013.
Producing and taking the lead role will be Micheal Fassbender who took the part as the villain Magneto in X-Men First Class and X-Men Days of Future Past. Also to appear will be Marion Cotillard who played on screen wife to Leo DiCaprio in Inception, and to take the part as the villain will be Thomas de Torquemada, who actually played a supporting spin-off character in the game believe it or not!
As in the games, the film will take part in different times in history including the present. Now it could possibly be set in Renaissance Italy, during the American Revolution, or maybe the Pirate-Scourged Caribbean, but it seems that the film is going to set itself aside from the game and be set the era for the Spanish Inquisition.
For those who have never played the game, it’s all about using technology to go back through history via viewing of your ancestor’s memories. It’s got something to do with the family gene pool where you can view and experience what your bloodline did. Kind of like time travel without leaving the present.
The movie is being filmed as we speak and is due to be released on December 21st 2016. It is said to be quite an epic movie.
