Local business owners are being wished a Happy New Financial Year by a small business accountancy specialist, with reminders of key changes which come into effect from April.
Roger Bowen who runs TaxAssist Accountants in Llanelli said: “There are a number of changes coming into effect from April this year, which affect local business owners. We want to ensure that busy, hard-pressed small businesses take full advantage of every measure designed to support their hard work and enterprise.
“We’re wishing local business owners a Happy New Financial Year with some hints and tips on how they can benefit from the new April tax rules. Added together, the various measures could have a significant impact on their business.”
Changes which come into effect in April for local small businesses are:
Employers: any local business owner employing people aged 16 to 21, will not have to pay secondary NI contributions provided their wages don’t exceed £815 per week. The Employment Allowance remains available for 2015/16, which can help to reduce secondary NI contributions by up to £2,000 for the rest of your workforce
Personal tax-free allowance: increases to £10,600 from April 2015 and £10,800 next April
Fuel duty: remains frozen and now the use of ultra low-emission cars for your business, will attract lower company car tax increases than previously announced
TaxAssist Accountants Llanelli is a local business, operating across Carmarthen, Llanelli and Swansea, providing tax and accountancy advice and services purely to small businesses.
