Update: 1.30 pm : The fire in Llangadog is now under control and the A4069 is open to traffic.
There is currently a major fire in Llangadog. The police have requested the closure of the A4069.
Alternative routes will be along the A40 to Llandovery and along the A4069 to Llangadog and visa versa.
All HGV vehicles will be prevented from accessing Llangadog via the mountain road. The closure will be removed when the fire is under control. Llangadog recycling centre has been closed.
It should reopen as normal tomorrow. Bus Service 280/281is currently unable to access the village
