Two hundred and fifty people attended a recent event for those with sight and/or hearing difficulties.

Organised by Pembrokeshire County Council’s Sensory Service, the Demonstration/information Day aimed to give information and guidance to young and old alike.

It was held at Haverfordwest Rugby Club on Thursday 9th April.

Representatives from national and local organisations also took part.

They included RNIB Cymru, Sense Cymru, Guide Dogs Cymru, Wales Council for the Blind, Action on Hearing Loss, Wales Council for the Deaf, Macular Disease Society, International Glaucoma Association, British Wireless for the Blind, Calibre Talking Books, Pembrokeshire Blind Society, Sign and Share Club as well as several companies including Optelec and Dolphin Computer Software.

A BSL interpreter was available all day for people requiring sign language communication.
