Selaine Saxby, Prospective Conservative MP for Llanelli, and members of the Llanelli Conservative Association met with the Prime Minister, David Cameron and other senior Tories, including Secretary of State for Wales, Stephen Crabb, on Friday at the launch of the Welsh Conservative Manifesto.
David Cameron’s speech again highlighted the cuts in Welsh NHS funding by the Labour administration in Cardiff, and explained how funds had been ringfenced elsewhere in the UK and that money had been available to be spent on the NHS in Wales, but that Labour chose not to. Wales’ economy is now growing faster than any other part of the UK outside London, 52 000 new jobs have been created since 2010 and 22,400 new businesses created.
Mr Cameron promising to return to the Royal Welsh Show this summer if elected stressed: “Our dragon may be red, but this country is better off blue”
Selaine said of the manifesto “The Conservatives have a clear plan to help Wales continue to grow and move forward. We will never take Wales for granted as Labour have done”
