Clean Coasts have been fortunate enough again this year to be able to hold the national Clean Coasts Week campaign (see attached flyer). Once again, the week in Carmarthenshire will close with a big cleanup event on Cefn Sidan beach on Friday, May 15th, at 9.30am. As in previous years, there will be a buffet afterwards for people volunteering in the excellent Sidan restaurant in Pembrey Country Park.
Please note, you MUST inform me if you are coming, and how many people are coming with you so that we know numbers for the buffet and also so we know how much equipment will be required. Please let me know by Thursday, 7th May if you will be coming and also if you have any special dietary requirements.
The arrangements will be similar to previous years: Inform staff at the gate of Pembrey Country Park that you are there for the beach clean and you will be let in without charge. The meeting point will be car park 2 in the country park. We would like to get everyone kitted from 9.30am so that everyone is on the beach by 10am. If you want to come a bit later, we will be doing the beach clean until 12pm (ish), and then heading over to the Sidan restaurant for lunch at 1pm.
The location of car park 2 is here – – https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.67668,-4.313335&hl=en&num=1&t=h&z=15
