A man has been fined for dumping carrier bags of rubbish on a Llansteffan road.
There has been an ongoing problem with bags of rubbish being dumped regularly on the B4132 near Llansteffan.
Council environmental enforcement officers have been investigating and with the help of a witness have managed to identify the offender.
The man has been issued with a fixed penalty notice for £75. Failure to pay could result in prosecution in the magistrates court and a maximum fine of up to £2,500.
Director of Environment Christina Harrhy said: “We are committed to keeping Carmarthenshire clean and this sort of behaviour will not be tolerated.
“Our enforcement officers will investigate and anyone caught will be fined.”
