The Paul Sartori Foundation – the Pembrokeshire charity offering specialised, supportive care and advice for those in the later stages of a life-limiting illness – has received a donation from an unusual source.
The Foundation has received a cheque for £4,487 from the Institute for Cemetery and Crematorium Management.
The money is the proceeds of the sales of metals recycled from cremations carried out at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberth.
The recycling is only carried out with the written consent of each bereaved family, and without this consent this donation would not have been possible.
A cheque was presented in the grounds of Parc Gwyn to the Foundation’s Charity Manager, Sandra Dade by Pembrokeshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Environmental and Regulatory Services, Councillor Huw George.
“Without such kind gifts the charity would not be able to deliver Pembrokeshire’s only Hospice at Home service” said Sandra.
