And so another rugby season reaches it’s end, with the Scarlets playing their final home game of the season against fellow Welsh region the Cardiff Blues before travelling to Treviso next week. A ‘difficult’ season in many ways with the region’s only real battle to reach the top 6 in order to challenge in next season’s Champions’ Cup.

As always, the final home game is tinged with sadness as we say goodbye to the players who leave for pastures new, including Rhys Priestland, Johan Snyman, Kristian Phillips, Gareth Maule, Jacobie Adriaanse and Frasier Climo. Of course, this also means that we will be welcoming new faces to Parc y Scarlets for next season, among them DTH Van Der Merwe, the return of Aled Thomas, Will Taylor, Dylan Evans, Morgan Allen and Tom Price. We will also be welcoming Stephen Jones back to Parc y Scarlets as he takes up his new role with the coaching staff.
