Sunday’s Man of the match winner James Davies is expecting a tough Italian test when Scarlets take on Benetton Treviso as part of Guinness PRO12’s Super Saturday.

Scarlets head out to Italian city Treviso for the final round of the 2014-15 PRO12 campaign looking for a victory to secure the coveted European Rugby Champions Cup place for next season.

A tough encounter against fellow Italian side Zebre Rugby only a few weeks ago will be fresh in Scarlets’ minds; Davies and his teammates will be weary of the danger posed by Treviso.

Speaking after the game on Sunday flanker Davies said; “The Italians are always tough, especially at home. We are going to have to put in a massive performance just to get the result.

“Making the top six is huge. We’ve talked about it since Christmas. Sixth was our goal.  Since our block of the Irish games we’ve been hammering it home every week. All the boys know the importance of it to the club on and off the pitch. The boys want to be playing in that top-flight.”

Two points are required from the final round clash on Saturday but the Scarlets will leave no stone unturned in their quest with a win at all cost the key focus. Davies went on to say; “We’re not home and dry. We know that being four points clear isn’t enough. The boys are going to have to bring intensity this week and especially out there against Treviso.

“We know how much of a test it is going to be but we just need to put the performance in.

“We all want to be in Europe. We want to be playing against the big clubs.”
