A Boot Camp for Life Science companies kicks off Export Week Wales (18-22 May) today and is the first in a number of sector specific seminars, briefings and workshops to provide companies with advice and tips on a range of export topics.

Part of a UK wide event, Export Week is aimed at encouraging businesses to export and to promote the range of support available for companies. The events are for businesses considering exporting as well as companies wishing to increase their international business.

The export development workshops will provide in-depth advice on a  range of export issues and help develop a company’s capability and capacity for exporting while the seminars will highlight the export opportunities available in a range of overseas markets.

The Boot Camp for Life Science companies on Monday 18 May in Cardiff will look at a range of financial and legal issues that companies in the sector need to consider when exporting.

It will be followed by a series of seminars at a variety of venues around Wales during the week covering the food & drink sector, ICT, and creative industries sectors.

Economy Minister Edwina Hart said:
