Scolton Manor is offering visitors a range of Alice in Wonderland themed activities this Whitsun.

Throughout half term – Saturday 23rd to Sunday 31st May – Pembrokeshire’s County Council’s museum will be celebrating the 150th anniversary of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland with a Wonderland Woodland Trail.

Every day between 11am and 4pm, youngsters and adults will be able to follow the trail around the woods, and solve clues to win a prize. The trail costs £1 per child.

They will also be able to sample some Tea Party Treats on Wednesday 27th May, by making Queen of Hearts’ Jam Tarts in the Manor House kitchen. Sessions start at 11:15am and 2:30pm, at a cost of £2 per child.

Meanwhile Crafty Creations sessions will be held on Tuesday 26th and Thursday 28th May starting at 11:15am and 2:30pm, at a cost of £2 per child.

The Alice in Wonderland activities are part of a packed week of crafts trails and treats laid on at the country house museum near Haverfordwest.

On Bank Holiday Monday (25th May) visitors will be able to try their hand at Baking in the Park with family-friendly outdoor baking and storytelling sessions, starting at 11:30am, 12:30pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm.

The sessions cost £5 per person and places are limited so booking in advance is advisable.  Adult supervision is required for under-12s.

Visitors can also discover Scolton Manor’s Woodland Wonders and look for mini-beasts in the woods and park on Friday 29th May at 11:15am or 2:30pm.  The session costs £2 per child and adult supervision is essential.

And in between all the activities visitors can take a break and enjoy homemade treats at the Scolton Manor Tea Rooms.
