Carmarthen families are being invited to join in the fun of a community-organised Big Lunch.

The event will be held at Llangunnor School on Sunday, June 7, from 11am to 3pm.

It is a free family fun day, with free food, which has been organised by local volunteers, Llangunnor Tenants Network, and community groups.

Activities will include a bowling alley, cheerleaders, drumming, bouncy castle, craft activities, painting, drawing, facepainting, rugby skills, football skills, model railway and more.

People are being asked to bring an item to contribute to the FoodBank – such as sugar, tinned fruit, tinned tomatoes, UHT milk, biscuits or longlife fruit juice.

Organiser Lis Duffy said: “Every donation is appreciated.”

  • The event is being supported by Carmarthenshire County Council’s community engagement officers, part of the housing department. Are you a council tenant and want to get involved in community events? Visit the ‘Get Involved‘ page on our website.
