Wales is on the brink of making football history by reaching the final rounds of Euro 2016 in France.

To add to the excitement among followers of the beautiful game in Wales, S4C will broadcast a special preview chat show Taro’r Bar: Euro 2016 in the lead-up to Wales’ five remaining games in the qualification stages of the competition beginning on Thursday 11 June, the night before Wales’ game against Belgium.

Similar preview shows in the Taro’r Bar: Euro 2016 series will be broadcast before the other four Euro 2016 qualifiers – at home against Israel and Andorra and away against Cyprus and Bosnia-Herzegoniva.

Dylan Ebenezer and actors and huge football fans Aled Pugh and Huw Rhys will be the presenters while former Wales and Newcastle striker Malcolm Allen and former Wales and Swansea City midfielder, Owain Tudur Jones will be guests on the first programme.

At present Wales are second in their group and, with the first two teams qualifying automatically for next year’s finals, they have a genuine opportunity to qualify for their first international tournament since 1958.

Taro’r Bar: Euro 2016 is produced by Rondo Media, who also produce the S4C sports shows Sgorio and Clwb.

Carwyn Williams, producer of the series, said: “It’s the perfect time to launch a series like Taro’r Bar: Euro 2016 halfway through the qualifying campaign and with Wales on the same number of points as Belgium with several big name stars in their team. The two countries are only separated by goal difference in their group.

“We’ll be previewing the big game and, with an audience in the studio in Caernarfon, we’ll also be having some fun. In the first programme, Aled and Huw will be challenged to name as many Wales players and former players and to do so wing-walking on a plane about a thousand feet up in the sky.”
