Scarlets are pleased to confirm that the region’s third and final pre-season clash ahead of the 2015-16 Guinness PRO12 and European Rugby Champions Cup season will take place at Llandovery RFC.

Scarlets will take on English Championship side Bedford Blues at Llandovery’s Church Bank on Saturday 29th August, kick-off 2.30pm, in the last pre-season clash of Summer 2015.

A decade has passed since Scarlets last played a home game away from Stradey Park or Parc y Scarlets, securing a 25-17 victory over Edinburgh at Wrexham’s Racecourse Ground, in September 2005.

Scarlets Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of Rugby Jon Daniels commenting on the decision to take the game to Llandovery said: “We are really excited to be taking a pre-season game to Llandovery’s Church Ground ahead of the competitive season.

“It’s a big year for rugby with the World Cup taking place right here in the UK and this is a fantastic opportunity for the region’s supporters to watch the Scarlets in action out in the community right here in West Wales.

“We’ve worked closely with the committee at Llandovery and we’re all looking forward to what is promising to be a fantastic festival of rugby for the whole region.”

Jon Daniels went on to say: “This is a fantastic regional concept we want to repeat and expand going forward as we strengthen ties with our regional clubs right across West Wales.”

Match tickets and Hospitality packages for the final pre-season clash will be on sale in the coming weeks – to register interest please call the ticket office on 0871 871 8088.

Scarlets v Bedford will be an all-to-pay clash at Church Bank, Llandovery, and won’t be included on 2015-16 Season Tickets.
