Councillor Kevin Madge is to remain Armed Forces Champion for Carmarthenshire.
Cllr Madge will also continue to chair the county Steering Group which meets quarterly.
The group is made up of representatives from major organisations in Carmarthenshire, with the aims of improving the sharing and recording of information; providing direction and approval for community grant bids; communicating the work of the Community Covenant, and providing information on how to access support.
As Armed Forces Champion, Cllr Madge has represented the county on several occasions, and has contributed to the work of the Steering Group.
He said: “This is a subject close to my heart, my grandfather founded the Garnant branch of the British Legion, my father was also very involved, as am I.
“The Armed Forces personnel, both serving and veterans, along with their families, deserve our utmost respect and full support.
“I am proud to continue as Armed Forces Champion and help continue the good work already being carried out by the Steering Group.”
