Plaid Cymru in Llanelli will be spending this summer asking people in communities across the Constituency what matters to them. Using street stalls and door to door conversations Plaid volunteers will be talking to friends, neighbours and colleagues both about the challenges we face, but also what ideas they have for tackling these challenges.
Helen Mary Jones, Plaid’s candidate in next May’s Assembly election said:
“We are already getting a great response. There are some issues that you’d expect, like concerns about our local health services and the condition of Llanelli Town Centre, coming through, but also problems in particular communities, for example around road safety and the condition of roads and pavements.
People are telling us that they think it’s refreshing to be asked their opinions by people in political life. We will be passing concerns raised onto the appropriate organisations, including the Health Board and the Council, and feeding back to people who’ve raised them. The survey will also help us influence Plaid policy nationally as we move towards the Assembly election next year. In Plaid we believe on basing our policies on people’s day to day experience and addressing the issues that matter to them.”
Plaid members will be undertaking the survey throughout the summer months.
