Over 200 schoolchildren have been teeing off at Carmarthen Golf Club. The golf enthusiasts showed off their skills in a county wide Fair Play Tournament by taking part in the short putt, long putt, pitch shot, iron shot and wood shot. The event, organised by Carmarthenshire County Councilās Disability Sport Wales officer, Gold Development Wales and professional Golf player Darren Griffiths, was to raise awareness of disabled activities in the county. This was the second time the event was held at Carmarthen Golf Club, and additional to the successful and long standing annual event at Glyn Abbey when over 130 pupils took part. The councilās disability sport Wales officer, Lisa PudnerĀ said: āThe children had a great time competing against one another in a fun environment.ā
