S4C to follow a weekend full of activities from the National Eisteddfod at Meifod

S4C have been at the heart of all the action from the National Eisteddfod with live coverage throughout the day, while also following the presenters around the Eisteddfod field to see what’s going on.

The all-day live and highlights coverage, produced by BBC Cymru Wales, is presented by Nia Roberts, Dewi Llwyd, Iwan Griffiths, Heledd Cynwal and Tudur Owen.

On the final day of the Eisteddfod in Montgomeryshire and the Marches, there will be an opportunity to enjoy the instrumental groups, the Lieder Solo, male voice choirs with over 45 members, and the Lois Blake Memorial Trophy.

In the afternoon, Festival President R. Alun Evans will address the Eisteddfod audience, the Lady Herbert Lewis Memorial Prize will be presented and the Male Voice Choir competition for between 20 and 45 members will take place.

The Eisteddfod Genedlaethol 2015 live feed will be available on-line on the BBC’s Cymru Fyw website, bbc.co.uk/cymrufyw and programmes will be available on the S4C website, s4c.cymru.

On the final afternoon of the National Eisteddfod in Montgomeryshire and the Marches, the duets will take place and the David Ellis Memorial Prize – The Blue Riband award for solo singers – brings the National Eisteddfod to a close in the evening.

In a special programme on Sunday, Tudur Owen will present all the highlights from the competitions, the field, stage and stalls of this year’s festival.

Live broadcasts during the day, highlights and programmes from Y Babell Len – the Literary Pavilion – are all available to watch worldwide at s4c.cymru.

The S4C Pavilion on the Maes – the Eisteddfod field – will host a variety of activities throughout the week. On Saturday Ochr 2 presents Kizzy Crawford with acoustic performances, and a showing of the film Lleifior at 1.00, which was filmed in the area some years ago.
