Earlier in the day, the Minister also met with frontline staff from the local authority, community councils, housing associations and voluntary services in Newtown to hear their views and experiences about the Welsh Governmentās draft budget and investment priorities.
Finance Minister said:
āMy Budget Tour allows me to meet staff and service users to understand their priorities and what matters most to people in the local area. Ā It is invaluable in helping to shape our future Budget proposals, especially in times of falling budgets.
āAs we prepare for yet a further round of cuts by the UK Government to our budget, it is important to understand what is working well and where there is scope to drive further integration of services and greater collaboration between those responsible for providing services. Ā Despite the reductions to our Budget, we remain committed to protecting our valued public services, boosting the economy and Investing in the Wales we want for the future.
