Another chance to see a gripping family drama
There will be another chance to see the gripping and touching family drama set in the splendour of Snowdonia and the Gower Peninsula on S4C this summer.
Lan a Lawr will be screened every Sunday and Wednesday night, beginning on 16 and 19 August on S4C, and over the next weeks you can expect tears, laughter, tension and romance in this new contemporary drama where two worlds collide.
Versatile entertainer Dewi ‘Pws’ Morris plays Mal Harries, a south Walian who’s escaped to north Wales to work as a volunteer in a Mountain Rescue Team.
He lives with his partner, Gwen, but her children would rather if he lived elsewhere. Gradually, we learn about his complex background and a past that is about to come back to bite him.
Meanwhile on the Gower Peninsula, Delia Evans, played by Beth Robert, is busy raising her daughter, Caitlin (Anni Dafydd) and has to deal with devastating news.
But there’s someone else competing for Caitlin’s attention – battleaxe artist Magda (Heulwen Haf).
Delia and her daughter travel to North Wales to celebrate Caitlin’s 17th birthday. But long-held secrets are set to change the lives of everyone else forever. A revelation is about to bring two separate worlds – of the north and south – together.
Lan a Lawr was First broadcast on S4C at the start of the year. The cast of familiar faces also includes Morfudd Hughes, Gwenno Hodgkins and Llion Williams in addition to young new faces like Anni Dafydd and Carwyn Rhys Williams. The author is Gareth F. Williams.
