A popular resident at Pembrokeshire Housing’s Home for Life scheme at Kensington Court, Milford Haven, is Mrs Peggy Pritchard, who celebrated her 100th birthday on Friday (7th August).
Mrs Pritchard has resided in Pembrokeshire for 30 years following her late husband’s retirement.
She has been a tenant since May, 2012, at Kensington Court which is one of two Homes for Life schemes operated by Pembrokeshire Housing, offering 48 self-contained flats with restaurant, lounges, library and IT services.
A former dental nurse in Coventry, she has three sons, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Always very active throughout her life, Mrs Pritchard is a renowned multi-tasker. During a supper party one night, Peggy hosted her guests – and then disappeared. She was later found in another room hanging wallpaper!
Besides family and friends, she was also visited by Pembrokeshire County Council Chairman, Wynne Evans, who presented her with a bouquet of flowers.
Mrs Pritchard attributes her longevity to “making the most of every opportunity.”
